Captain Kyle Arvan, Assistant Professor of Military Science

Captain Kyle Arvan was born on Fort Campbell, Kentucky and grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. CPT Arvan received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Capital University, Columbus, Ohio in May 2016. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Armor Branch and completed Armor Basic Officer Leader Course, Army Reconnaissance Course, and Basic Airborne Course at Fort Moore in 2017.

CPT Arvan was initially assigned to Fort Carson, Colorado, with 1-68AR, 3ABCT, 4ID where he served as an Assistant Operations Officer (AS3), a Tank Platoon Leader, an Executive Officer for a tank company, and an Executive Officer for the Headquarters and Headquarters Company. During that time, he deployed in support of Operations Spartan Shield. Once promoted to Captain, he moved to his control branch of Signal.

CPT Arvan graduated from the Signal Career Course (SCCC) and S6 Officer Course on Fort Gordan in 2021. Upon completing SCCC, he was assigned to 63D Expeditionary Signal Battalion (ESB), 35th Corp Signal Brigade, Fort Stewart, Georgia. CPT Arvan took command of Alpha Company 63D ESB. While in command, Alpha Company deployed teams in support of AFRICOM and CENTCOM areas of operation.

CPT Arvan's awards and decorations include Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2 OLCs), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, Parachutist Badge, and German Armed Forces Badge (Gold). He is also the recipient of the prestigious U.S. Cavalry and Armor Association Order of St. George.
