Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life Retreat

Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life Retreat
Chris Murphy, coordinator

October, 2015 – April, 2016

The Spiritual Exercises are an unfolding series of prayers, meditations and reflections put together by St. Ignatius of Loyola out of his own personal spiritual experience and that of others to whom he listened. The process of the Spiritual Exercises respects the uniqueness of each person and leads retreatants to a deeper relationship with God and others.

The year-long Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life (SEEL) retreat for Loyola faculty, staff, administrators and graduate students begins with the week of October 1, 2015 and continues until the week of April 22, 2016.

The SEEL retreat involves a significant commitment of time and energy on the part of the retreatant.  You will be asked to devote up to one hour a day in personal prayer and to meet once a week with a spiritual director.  Past retreatants would undoubtedly tell you that the time put in yields great rewards, but there is no question that this is indeed a commitment.  Contact Chris Murphy at ext: 87431 or
