Loyola University Chicago Names Jill McCall as Director of its Family Business Center

CHICAGO, ILNovember 16, 2022 Loyola University Chicago announced today that Jill McCall will be joining the University as Director of the Family Business Center, effective November 21, 2022. She is a community builder and innovator who brings to the center and its members extensive experience in association leadership and consulting.

“Jill’s breadth of interdisciplinary skills and her experience supporting family businesses make her a strong fit for our Family Business Center,” said Michael Behnam, dean of the Quinlan School of Business. “Her commitment to serving members collectively and individually will also strengthen how the center serves the family business community.”

Kristen Napleton, chair of the Family Business Center’s board of advisors, shared her excitement about the new director: “Jill inherits a strong and committed family business community – one that is grounded in shared values, confidentiality, participation, non-solicitation, research, and learning. I am confident in her commitment to leading our community to a bright future, while continuing to offer the exceptional services and support that makes our Family Business Center so special.”

Most recently, McCall served as the founder of Managing Momentum, a strategic services firm that specializes in empowering emerging leaders. She also has served as the chief executive for both the Mechanical Contractors Association of Chicago and Independent Physicians and Providers of Illinois, as well as in various leadership roles at the American Bar Association.

Among McCall’s areas of interest are next-generation initiatives and engagement, peer group facilitation, strategic advising, one-on-one executive coaching, and experiential training and development.

McCall succeeds former Family Business Center Director Anne Smart, who retired in early November 2022.
