Student Leaders

NSP is supported by outstanding student leaders.

College Coaches

College Coaches (CCs) serve as the student ambassadors for the Pre-Collegiate Summer Scholars (PCSS) program. They support a wide range of high school aged students as they participate in a variety of engaging programs and activities on Loyola's campus. It is a paid position that provides free housing, outings throughout Chicago, and ongoing leadership development.


Orientation Leaders

Orientation Leaders (OLs) serve as the student ambassadors for Loyola University Chicago Orientation (LUCO). They are instrumental in assisting first-year and transfer students and their families during this important time of transition to academic and student life at Loyola. It is a paid position that provides free housing, and ongoing leadership development.


Peer Advisors

Peer Advisors (PAs) serve as a resource and mentor for students enrolled in UNIV 101 and 201. PAs co-teach the class with a University faculty or staff member, and are available to students inside and outside the classroom as they transtion to academic and student life at Loyola in their first semester. The PA position is a paid position and includes oingoing leadership development opportunities. 


Recruitment for these positions begins annually in December. Applications are due in January, and applicants are notified of their status by early March. Training begins in the spring and continues through the completion of the role. For more information, please contact the appropriate group.
