Dr. Yoon’s research interest is in the area of psychosocial well-being and depression in the Asian American Pacific Islander population who are diagnosed with cancer and their family caregivers. Her research focuses on examining factors influencing the level of quality of life and depression among Korean American cancer survivors and their family caregivers. Her future research trajectory is to develop culturally feasible interventions to minority dyads (cancer survivors and their family caregivers) to reduce the level of depression and enhance their quality of life during cancer and caregiving. Her current research work focuses on using mixed-method to examine the factors that are related to quality of life and depression.
