Stacey M. Meyers, PhD, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Program Director for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMH-DNP) track in the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (BA) from The Ohio State University. She completed her MSN at The University of Pennsylvania with an advanced practice specialty in psychiatric-mental health nursing and minors in adult oncology and palliative care. She received her PhD from Mercer University.
Dr. Meyers is an experienced educator and clinician. She is an ANCC board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner and continues to practice as a nurse practitioner in the LUC Student Wellness Center. Dr. Meyers teaches a variety of mental health courses across the undergraduate and graduate programs, including Mental Health Patterns, Psychiatric Mental Health Assessment Across the Lifespan, and Psychopharmacology Across the Lifespan.
Dr. Meyers’ qualitative phenomenological research focuses on the lived experiences of individuals. This includes experiences of late stage cancer diagnosis and implicit bias in education and healthcare. Dr. Meyers’ current research is focused on the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ college students with gender identity and sexual orientation.
