About
Dawn Carter joined the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing in January 2020. As the director of administrative operations, Dawn oversees a broad range of administrative operations, represents and serves as an ambassador for the dean’s office, manages operational aspects of the strategic planning process, and facilitates numerous projects in close collaboration with the dean and MNSON leadership. Dawn also oversees administrative support. Dawn has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Chicago State University and a Master’s degree in Education Leadership with certification to teach secondary English from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to joining Loyola, Dawn most recently held positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing and Chicago Public Schools.
Dawn’s favorite place at the Lake Shore Campus is the outdoor area outside of Madonna della Strada Chapel’s east, lake front facing doors. It’s a wonderful place to take a time-out among the chapel and lake’s beauty.
