Frequently Asked Questions
Loyola’s Online RN-to-BSN Program: Quality Education Online
The online BSN program at Loyola University Chicago's Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing offers top-quality professional education. If you have an associate degree in nursing (ADN) from a recognized institution, you have the opportunity to complete the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in a minimum of three semesters online. No time is wasted on traveling, geographical limitations restricting school choice, or having to take a leave of absence from work.
Going back to school can be an intimidating experience, especially if students have taken a break for a number of years to gain work experience or on account of financial commitments. Loyola’s online BSN program is designed specifically for working professional nurses seeking to expand their skill set. Students will not have to repeat courses they have already completed; we recognize previous education and professional development by accepting transfer credits. Enroll anytime during the year. We also have a financial aid program to help with tuition costs.
The RN-to-BSN program does not have any specific course prerequisite requirements before admission. Applicants do need to hold a current RN license. Students may transfer in core requirement courses. Once admitted, RN-to-BSN students are responsible for completing university core requirements at Loyola. See the RN-BSN Curriculum for more information.
