The Office of Civic Engagement will work with the President, the President’s Cabinet, the Provost, and the Council of Deans to facilitate Loyola’s role as a leading civic institution.
The Office will seek to connect and match the resources of the university with the civic needs of the Chicagoland area, working closely with the Advancement Division to seek funding for resulting partnerships and collaborations.
The Office will also host a “Civil Conversations” discussion programs, town hall meetings, and other events and activities, to explore issues of mutual civic concern (e.g. public safety; education), modeling civil discourse in so doing.
Civic Engagement will continue to manage Loyola’s role as a polling place on election day.
