International House

A cross-cultural living and learning residence on Loyola's Lake Shore Campus.

The mission of the International House is to promote cross-cultural learning by creating a community in which students live and interact with other students from different countries. This is accomplished by having roommates from various countries.  Each month the International House hosts events that encourage communication and community building. International students also have the opportunity to participate in our Global Mentorship Program, which groups international or visiting students with domestic students in a cross-cultural setting.

The International House is not limited solely to international students. In fact, American students are encouraged to apply to be a resident as it adds to the cross-cultrual experience. We have had students from over 26 different countries, including Brazil, China, Japan, Spain, Ireland, and Angola. To learn more about some of their experiences, click here!
