Why did you come to Loyola?
I came to Loyola for 2 reasons.
1: Loyola’s Social Justice initiatives really influenced me to come here. Plus they had the Master’s program I wanted.
2: I love Chicago and felt it would be a good place for me to get my masters and expand my horizons. Plus its not too far away from Minnesota.
What is your role in the I-House/Chicago Center?
I am the Marketing & Recruitment Graduate Intern for both the I-House and the Chicago Center. I help get the word out about the I-House and Chicago Center by attending different fairs at Loyola, looking for new partnerships, and other tasks. I also help out where I’m needed.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I love language and hope to learn how to say Hello and other phrases in every language. During my undergrad I learned Japanese and now I’m trying to reteach myself and become more fluent at it.
Where do you go in Chicago for fun?
I like to explore all over Chicago for sightseeing and photography. But if there’s somewhere specific I’d go to have fun it would be the Arcade Bar Replay, I love video games and pinball!
Where are some cool places that you have traveled?
The coolest place I’ve been was definitely Taiwan. I got to go on a gondola ride, go to the largest night market, eat a bunch of new food, and even swam in the Pacific Ocean!
What are you looking forward to most during your time at the I-House/Loyola?
Working in the I-house and with the Chicago Center I’m looking forward to interacting with all of the residence and getting to hear how they like Chicago. I’m also excited about possibly getting to learn some words in a new language!
