Home Town: Kansas City

Major: International Business

Why did you choose to live in the International House?

So I could practice my Chinese with Chinese students. I studied abroad in the Beijing Center last year and wanted to keep up with the language.

What have you enjoyed so far about living in the International House?

I like that there’s people from around the people, which is really cool. I’ve made really good friends with the kids from Brazil here. The rooms are nice and spaces are nice. I will miss the community when I leave. We always talk to each other and we’re all friends. I’ll miss the kitchen a lot too because I cook a lot with the other residents. I am trying to invite more people to cook with me!

How is your experience with the Global Mentorship Program?

I missed the first meeting but I met some of the other members in my group and they are awesome. They’re cool and I can’t wait to meet the rest of the group. We plan on meeting soon.

What do you do for fun around Loyola and Chicago?

I like to go to the gym and play soccer at Loyola. I also love to eat so I like to go to different neighborhoods for food, like Pilsen or Belmont.
