Why did you choose to attend Loyola?

Because Loyola is located in Chicago, one of the most vibrant and prosperous cities of the United States. The Water Tower Campus is centrally locally in downtown Chicago amidst many cultural, recreational, and tourist attractions. The Lake Shore Campus commands a magnificent view of Lake Michigan. Loyola is the perfect place to study and make friends. In addition, it enjoys great reputation in the greater Chicago area with its excellent business and liberal arts education.

What has been your favorite event at the International House?

It is a nice place to live in as there is always someone cooking, usually I can get some delicious and more importantly free food :). I love the environment of the International House. Since there are students from very different cultural background, we have great chances to know different cultures and learn their languages. Besides, all the residents are friendly.

Where do you go in Chicago for fun?

I really enjoyed visiting Navy Pier. My favorite part was the Stained Glass Museum! It is hard to put into words how incredible it was to see so many different and beautiful reclaimed stained glass pieces of art! The Navy Pier itself was really enjoyable. There were a lot of nice little shops (tons of Chicago shops to find things to take home).

Have you traveled anywhere else in the US? Where was your favorite?

Yes, I have been to Washington D.C. The capital is quiet small. It seems to me that D.C. is a wonderful place to enjoy one’s retirement. However, it is not a good place for young people. Honestly, it is not as exciting as Chicago.

What will you miss most about the I-House?

I will miss Lake Michigan so much!!! It is such a great experience to have an “ocean” at hand and do some beach-related activities.
