Loyola University Chicago Orientation

The entire LUC community is excited to welcome you!

First-year and transfer students, Loyola University Chicago Orientation (LUCO) will be your opportunity to connect with your classmates and begin building community at Loyola. Family members and guests, LUCO will serve as a time to learn about your student's transition to academic and student life at Loyola. By actively participating in Orientation, you will learn about the many resources, opportunities, and services Loyola provides to support your academic and personal success, including learning about which classes will help you achieve your academic goals. LUCO will introduce you to the people, values, and traditions that will enrich the Loyola Experience.

For students starting at Loyola in summer/fall 2021, Orientation is an online experience that begins with the Welcome Session on Friday, June 4 and continues throughout the summer. Orientation includes a required academic advising appointment and a required small group discussion with an Orientation Leader (OL), as well as numerous optional events like LUC Resource Webinars, the virtual Resource Fair, OL Chats, Affinity Discussions, and Visit Days.

Registration for Orientation events began on Wednesday, May 5. Students can register for their required Orientation components on their Student Portal. Students, parents, and family members can register for the Welcome Session and LUC Resource Webinars on the Orientation Portal
