Optional Lake Shore Campus Visit Days

For the health, safety, and accessibility of all new students and families, Loyola University Chicago Orientation is a summer-long online experience in 2021. 

However, to accommodate new student interest in visiting and touring the Lake Shore Campus this summer, New Student Programs is offering optional Lake Shore Campus Visit Days on the following Fridays to supplement the online orientation experience. Two-hour formal programs will begin at 9:00AM, 11:30AM, and 2:00PM each day. Check-in will begin at 8:30AM for all programs. Space is limited* and registration is required.

  • July 16
  • July 23
  • July 30

Visit Days will include a 2-hour formal program with additional, optional opportunities on and around the Lake Shore Campus. Below is a sample schedule:

Students can register for a Lake Shore Campus Visit Day on their Student Portal.

Optional Opportunities include: 

  • Explore the Damen Dining Hall
  • Explore the Hall of Faiths
  • Explore the Information Commons and Cudahy Library
  • Take a self-guided tour of the Water Tower Campus
  • Take your Rambler Card picture and pick-up your card 
  • Talk with Financial Aid staff
  • Tour the Halas Recreation Center
  • Visit a local restaurant or coffee shop
  • Visit the LUC Bookstore
  • Visit the Madonna Della Strada Chapel

*Space is limited and restrictions will be in place in accordance with Illinois, Chicago, and Loyola public health guidelines. Currently, those restrictions include capping each event at 100 students, limiting students to one guest, and wearing masks at all times indoors.

Please note, campus tours will take place outside, and will not include spaces like the residence halls, though students will be able to explore the Damen Student Center, Halas Recreation Center, and the Madonna Della Strada Chapel as part of the optional opportunities.
