Graduates should complete the following:

The ABA compliance form is completed and submitted online.

If you missed the LOCUS deadline, DO NOT submit a LOCUS graduation application. Submit only the ABA Compliance.

*If you are not attending the annual commencement ceremony, you still must apply for graduation. All students must apply for graduation in order to graduate and receive their certificate.

Certificate Order and Delivery Schedule

GraduatesShould receive certificates in the:
Spring (May) 1st or 2nd week in July
Summer (August) 1st or 2nd week in October
Fall (December) 1st or 2nd week in February

Certificates are ordered only 3 times within each year, at the end of each semester, and are only ordered for students who have completed the graduation application process and all program requirements.

Honors Certificate

An honors certificate is awarded if your cumulative GPA is 3.5 or higher at the time of graduation.

Commencement & December Celebration

Paralegal Studies graduates participate in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) commencement ceremonies. Further information regarding Loyola's commencement ceremonies can be found on the commencement Website.

The 2017 Commencement Ceremony will be held at the Gentile Arena on the Lake Shore Campus on May 11, 2017.

The 2017 Commencement Ceremony will include:

  • December 2016 graduates
  • May 2017 graduates
  • August 2017 graduates

You can order your cap and gown through the commencement Website. When you pick-up your cap and gown, you should receive undergraduate apparel (maroon in color) with a gold tassel.

The 2017 Graduation Dinner will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 at Lewis Towers on the Water Tower Campus. Invitations will be sent closer to the event.

The 2017 Graduation Dinner will include:

  • May 2017 graduates
  • August 2017 graduates

Graduates should consider joining the IPA, if they have not already done so.

Please consider participating in the IPA's mentoring program for new paralegals. Several of our graduates have told us how helpful this program is as they start their careers. Information is available on the IPA Website.
