We accept applications for our Master of Science in Exercise Science (MSES) program year round for enrollment in fall, spring and summer starts.
Application must be submitted by:
August 10th for Fall semester start date
November 15th for Spring semester start date
March 15th for Summer semester start date
Loyola’s graduate admission application is free of cost.
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution prior to matriculation Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended.
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Successful completion (grade C or better) of one semester of an anatomy and physiology course.
The student’s grade point average and course work content from previous professional preparation will be used to determine qualifications for entrance into the program. The GRE is not required.
LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
These recommendations should be one page in length, detail the reasons why the recommender thinks you would be a good fit for your program of choice, and explain why (based on experiences with you) the recommender believes you will be successful in a MSES program.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Describe why you wish to apply for the MSES degree and your future career plans.
You may also be required to submit:
- Transcript evaluation. If you completed any postsecondary work outside of the United States or Canada (except for study abroad coursework), regardless of the language of the instruction or transcript, you must submit your transcripts through one of the following approved outside credential evaluation services:
Educational Perspectives: Applicants should request a General Report.
Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. (ECE): Applicants should request a General Evaluation with Grade Average: a Course-by-Course Evaluation is not required.
- English language test requirement. An official TOEFL or IELTS score report is required for international applicants whose native language is not English. This requirement is waived for those who have completed a four-year U.S. bachelor's degree program or for applicants who are citizens of or have completed a bachelor's degree at a recognized institution at which the language of instruction is English in these countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom.
