What prompted you to pursue your field?

I always have been interested in the field of healthcare and how it affects the lives of our communities. My undergraduate degree is a BS in Nursing, so I began my career as a clinician. Moving over to the administrative side, I have worked on framing messages to educate individuals to make healthy choices. This continues to be important as data demonstrates the discrepancies across economic, ethnic, and educational lines.

What "called" you to/attracted you to Loyola?

Attending a Jesuit University, I believe it had a positive impact in my life by broadening how I approach challenges and find solutions. Critical thinking is essential, but also remembering the impact on patients and families. I believe this integration of action and empathy is what sets Loyola apart from other colleges and universities.
