Health Sciences Campus

Faculty photo for Michelle Kavoosi

I love serving as adjunct faculty in both the MPH and Bachelor of Science in Public Health programs, teaching Public Health Law and Public Health Policy. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, running, cross-training, reading non-fiction, and traveling.

Special Interests

Law and policy can be fluid and messy. I am constantly striving to help my students understand the bases and parameters of this fluidity and messiness to further equip them for success in their professional endeavors.

What's it like to teach at Parkinson?

Working in the Parkinson School with dedicated, passionate, generous, and exceptionally knowledgeable faculty, staff, and students is a joy.

Why is this area of study important at this point in time?

Law underpins much of public health. To best serve the broad, complex, and varied health challenges and needs of the public, it is essential to have some foundation in public health law.
