I work as an advanced dietitian on the nutrition support team at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. I work on a multidisciplinary team managing inpatient and outpatient parenteral nutrition patients. I am honored to have the opportunity to be a clinical instructor within the dietetic internship program at Loyola, since teaching is a true passion of mine. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and exploring all of the restaurants Chicago has to offer.

Research Interests

My research interests include clinical nutrition, nutrition support, and gastrointestinal and surgical nutrition.

Education
  • BS in Dietetics, Michigan State University
  • MS in Clinical Nutrition, Rush University

What's it like to teach at Parkinson?

My position excites me, because I find that I learn just as much from my students as they learn from me. I love the diversity of this program, and find joy in making our classroom a learning community from day one. It is exciting to watch each cohort grow together as a "family" each year.

What would you tell a student about why your field is exciting or important?

My position as a clinical instructor makes an impact on the future of the field of nutrition. It is so incredible to watch students grow as a clinician throughout the course of their program, and there is nothing more rewarding than the moment everything starts to "click" for the student.
