About the Annual Philanthropy For All Season Reception

The Annual Philanthropy For All Seasons Reception

Hosted by the Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy Sector Program (NMPS) at the School of Social Work, Loyola University Chicago, the Annual Philanthropy For All Seasons reception is a wonderful cap to the year for the NMPS and brings together NMPS students and alumni and Loyola members with recognized and respected leaders and representatives in the philanthropic and nonprofit communities. The NMPS event provides setting to promote dialogue about the purpose of and current challenges facing philanthropy among the academic, nonprofit, and philanthropic communities.  It is a networking event for students and alumni to speak informally and candidly with established professionals, forging new relationships.  Equally important, the Philanthropy For All Seasons helps NMPS to raise funds to build a scholarship support to assist driven and deserving individuals enrolling in the NMPS to pursue a Certificate of Advanced Study in Philanthropy.

At each Philanthropy reception, the NMPS presents the Louis T. Delgado Social Justice in Philanthropy Award. Initiated in 2007 and selected by a diverse committee, the award is given annually to honor and recognize an individual who or organization that best exemplifies the highest standards in their business practices; a strong commitment to justice and the advancement of philanthropy; whose achievements have made an impact on society and in the metropolitan Chicago area.
