About Justin Nordin

I completed my Ph.D. at Loyola University Chicago in April 2019 and am currently an adjunct instructor of philosophy at Loyola University Chicago and Ashford University. My area of specialty is 20th century phenomenology. My current research focuses on the intersection of phenomenology and normative ethics. I also have interests in ancient Greek philosophy, metaphysics, and German idealism.

My approach to teaching centers on developing inclusive practices that aim to maximize the chances for students to learn by giving students the authority to help determine means of learning, assessment, curricula, and class structure, as well as by continually promoting self-reflection.
