Naida Softic

Naida Softic is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science at Loyola University Chicago, interested in the interplay between law and political science across the fields of citizenship and migration, as well as in the role of international organizations in the socialization and changes of domestic political landscapes. A native of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, she previously obtained her law degree and LLM in State and Constitutional Law at the University of Sarajevo, where she also worked as a Junior Research and Teaching Assistant in International Criminal Law and Criminology. Since moving to Chicago in 2021 to work as a Fulbright Visiting Researcher at Northwestern University, she worked with numerous governmental, nongovernmental, and intergovernmental organizations, such as UN, IOM, and DRC, as well as the USAID in BiH, on migration and enhancing judicial reform and democratic processes in the Western Balkans.
