Naida Softic

Naida Softic is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Political Science at Loyola University Chicago, interested in the interplay between law, political science, and institutional dynamics within the fields of citizenship and migration. A native of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, she previously obtained her law degree and LLM in State and Constitutional Law at the University of Sarajevo. Before moving to Chicago in 2021 to take up on a position of Fulbright Visiting Researcher at Northwestern University, she worked extensively with various governmental, non-governmental, and intergovernmental organizations, including the EU, UN, IOM, and DRC, as well as the USAID in BiH, contributing to initiatives focused on strengthening governance frameworks, migration and fostering socio-legal advancements in the Western Balkans.
