Raluca Pavel

Raluca Pavel is a graduate student in the Global Studies program and specializes in Comparative Politics. Her broad research ranges from direct democracy and government transparency, to local level policies that are able to combine the two. More specifically, she is interested in local level policies such as Participatory Budgeting and their role in increasing transparency and public participation. The focus of her research is the global diffusion of Participatory Budgeting and whether it impacts voter turnout in national elections.
