Taghreed Alsabeh is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Political Science at Loyola University. focusing on the Middle East and North Africa region. Her research interests include comparative foreign policy, Islamism, and democracy. Her dissertation explores the role of elected Islamist parties in Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia on the formation of foreign policy. It compares the foreign policy of Islamist with non-Islamist parties. It also explores whether Islamist Ideology impacts the formation of the foreign policy of Islamist parties. Broadly, the research looks at whether countries that experienced the rise of Islamist parties to power after the Arab spring may develop different foreign policies.
