Tommy Callan

Tommy Callan is a PhD candidate and Research Assistant in the Global Politics program at Loyola University Chicago. His primary research interest is in how contemporary Chinese foreign policy is affecting US preponderance of power in East Asia and elsewhere. Since graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011 and moving to Chicago the following year, he has volunteered and worked with numerous non-profits and community organizations, including Business Partners - the Chamber for Uptown and the Illinois Science Council. At Loyola, he has taught a 300-level course on Terrorism and 100-level course on American Political Institutions.
