Meet our Newest Assistant Professor: Jennifer Forestal

The Department of Political Science is proud to introduce our newest Assistant Professor who joined the faculty in fall 2019. 

Jennifer Forestal is the Helen Houlahan Rigali Endowed Assistant Professor of Political Science.  She specializes in political theory, with a focus on how digital technologies are changing the theory and practice of democratic politics.  Professor Forestal’s work has been published in scholarly journals, such as the American Political Science Review, Journal of Politics, and Hypatia: A Journal of Feminist Philosophy.  She is the recipient of external grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Political Science Association (APSA).  Prior to joining the Department of Political Science at Loyola University Chicago, Professor Forestal taught in the Political Science program at Stockton University (NJ), after completing her Ph.D. in Political Science at Northwestern University.  She teaches courses on political theory, social media and democracy, and feminist theory.
