A Thanksgiving Message

November 22, 2009

Dear Members of the Loyola Community,

This week’s celebration of Thanksgiving is a reminder to us to be grateful for the many gifts that we have received. Thanksgiving offers a special opportunity to reflect on our blessings, and to recommit ourselves to using our gifts to benefit our broader society and world. The announcement last week that Loyola University Chicago was named one of the top 100 places to work in Chicago signifies the many ways in which we collaborate with our colleagues from across the University to transform the lives of our students, and to ourselves be transformed by this important work. I am grateful to our trustees, regents, alumni, benefactors, and friends who partner with us to live out our mission here at Loyola.

I am grateful to you for your many contributions to the life of Loyola University Chicago. May your time with family and friends be joyful and blessed. Happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

Michael J. Garanzini, S.J.
President
