Loyola University Chicago Strategic Plan: Week Three Synopsis
March 13, 2009
Synopsis of Week Three Comments:
Our continuing thanks to all the members of the University community who are reading and commenting upon the strategic planning documents being distributed. In the past week, we received feedback on the Six Strategies in the current draft of the Strategic Plan. As was true in the first two weeks, the feedback remains broadly supportive. Up to this point, we have not received any comments indicating basic concerns about the directions described for the University in the plan components distributed over the last three weeks. With respect to the six strategies, we received suggestions for some small changes in wording in Strategies One, Two and Four, which will be considered for inclusion in the next draft of the plan following this period of community discussion and comment.
The next document I would invite your comments and feedback on are the strategic tactics identified by the Strategic Planning Steering Committee (along with sample steps) to help us reach the six strategic goals. This information has been posted to the link: http://www.luc.edu/strategicplanning/2009-2014. Please send your comments and feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please be reminded that since we are still in the process of developing the next iteration of our strategic plan, the documents that are being sent to you to review and comment on are posted on an internal link that is accessible only to members of the Loyola community. Therefore, only computers connected to the Loyola network will be able to view these documents.
Thank you for your feedback on the draft strategic tactics. I will send a synopsis of your feedback as well as information on the next steps in our strategic planning processes after the next meeting of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee meeting later this month.
Michael J. Garanzini, S.J.
President, Loyola University Chicago
