Loyola University Chicago Strategic Plan: Week Two Synopsis
March 6, 2009
Synopsis of Week Two Comments:
Our continuing thanks to all the members of the University community who are reading and commenting upon the strategic planning documents being distributed. In the past week, we received feedback on the Preamble and Goals in the current draft of the Strategic Plan, as well as additional thoughts about the Transformative Education statement. The feedback remains broadly supportive, with some specific elements suggested by individual writers, such as further developing the role of staff within the plan documents and exercising care in describing our Catholic character in an inclusive and positive way.
The next document I would invite your comments and feedback on is a 2009–2014 strategic plan strategies identified by the Strategic Planning Steering Committee. Included in this document are the draft preamble and three institutional goals you were sent last week so that you can review how the six strategies fit with the goals. This information has been posted to the link: http://www.luc.edu/strategicplanning/2009-2014. Please send your comments and feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please be reminded that since we are still in the process of developing the next iteration of our strategic plan, the documents that are being sent to you to review and comment on are posted on an internal link that is accessible only to members of the Loyola community. Therefore, only computers connected to the Loyola network will be able to view these documents.
Thank you for your feedback on the draft strategies. I will send a synopsis of your feedback as well as the draft plan’s strategies next week.
Michael J. Garanzini, S.J.
