Interviews and Selecting Finalists
Dear Members of the Loyola Community,
I would like to provide an update on Loyola’s presidential search and next steps in the process. Over the last few weeks, the Presidential Search Committee and Isaacson, Miller, our search consultant, have focused their attention on evaluating a large pool of qualified candidates and vetting their qualifications against the requirements and preferences we have established for the University’s next leader.
We are now at the end of the applicant screening process, and we have scheduled a number of interviews for the first week of April. After this step, we will select several finalists who will participate in follow-up interviews with the committee and consultant, and we will conduct extensive background and reference checks. At the conclusion of the finalists’ interviews, the committee will offer its recommendation to the University’s Board of Trustees. The board will then make the final determination and elect the new president.
As I communicated last month, we continue on schedule and have met the milestone dates from our original timeline. We are confident a decision will be made within the established timeframe. For more information on the search, including the leadership profile, visit LUC.edu/presidentialsearch.
