Leadership Profile Established

Dear Members of the Loyola Community,

On behalf of the Presidential Search Committee, I want to thank you for your input during our presidential search open forums held at the Lake Shore, Water Tower, and Health Sciences campuses recently. The dialogue at the forums, along with the feedback collected from our website and via e-mail, gave the committee and Isaacson, Miller, our search firm, the additional information needed to develop a leadership profile for our next president. The profile description has been finalized and can be found here. I encourage you to review it.

Looking ahead, with the guidance of Isaacson, Miller, we will place national advertisements about the position next month in The Chronicle of Higher Education, Diverse: Issues in Higher Education, The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education, and Women in Higher Education. We will solicit nominations from AJCU presidents and their Jesuit communities, and we will also continue to accept nominations through our presidential search website. If you have a qualified candidate in mind, please nominate them via the website. Isaacson, Miller will begin to recruit candidates and solicit applications. We expect to interview a number of qualified candidates this spring.

Thank you, again, for your participation to date. I hope that you and your families have a Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
