Giulia Pinzauti

Law Clerk at the International Court of Justice
Giulia Pinzauti is an international lawyer with experience in international criminal litigation and inter-State dispute settlement. Giulia currently serves as a Law Clerk at the International Court of Justice. She formerly served in the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals. She is a member of the executive committee of the Antonio Cassese Initiative for Justice, Peace and Humanity —a foundation that promotes global education and training in various disciplines such as human rights, humanitarian law and transitional justice — and of the editorial committee of the Journal of International Criminal Justice (OUP).  Formerly, she was an Assistant Legal Officer in the Appeals Chamber and the Pre-Trial Chamber at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, a teaching and research assistant at the University of Florence (Italy), and a broadcast journalist. She holds a PhD in international law from the European University Institute, as well as a BA and MA from the University of Florence. She publishes on international criminal law, international humanitarian law, and public international law.
