My area of expertise is the psychology of prejudice, which I approach by seeking to understand how people shape and are shaped by systems of oppression. My research focuses on transprejudice and cissexism, with an emphasis on how understandings of gender (and threats to those understandings) predict reactions to transgender people and gender nonconformity.
