Why choose an EMBA over an MBA? One reason is that the EMBA is designed specifically for experienced managers. Consequently, the robust curriculum is accelerated, interactive, and peer-oriented. EMBA students learning in a cohort gain a wealth of information through peer group interaction versus traditional, academic-style teaching methods.

Additionally, because the EMBA program is for working professionals, it is presented in a condensed format with class meeting once every other Saturday. Learning in a cohort allows students to learn from and network with one another.

Executive MBA vs. MBA: What’s the Difference?

EMBA programs are typically designed to meet the educational needs of mid-to-senior level managers, enabling them to broaden their business perspective and sharpen their managerial and leadership skills. The robust curriculum is accelerated, interactive, and peer-oriented. EMBA students gain a wealth of information through peer group interactions versus the traditional academic-style teaching method. At Quinlan, the EMBA program is delivered on alternating Saturdays in a condensed cohort format, allowing for more significant learning and networking to occur.

Traditional MBA programs are typically for students who are in earlier stages of their careers and who may be looking to transition into business from another occupation, or who have a desire to deepen their understanding of a specific business discipline such as marketing or finance.
