Career Changing 101

Looking to change your career? Here’s Kyle’s advice:

  • If you get the opportunity to talk to an employer or recruiter face-to-face, understand what skills you have that are transferable to the new position. Leverage that.
  • The biggest question to ask yourself is: Why do you want to change careers? Have a clear, concise, and well-reasoned answer. Be able to tell an interviewer or recruiter, because they are definitely going to ask that question.
  • You have to have passion for what you are transitioning into. Convey your enthusiasm to professors and employers.
