The Undergraduate Programs Office for the Quinlan School of Business provides advising to transfer students, juniors, and seniors. Academic advising includes:
- Assistance with degree requirements for all Quinlan majors and minors
- Help with course scheduling and sequencing
- Help for students transferring to the Quinlan School of Business
- Registration concerns and LOCUS help
- Graduation audits
Academic advising can also include explanations of university policies and procedures as related to academics, and referrals to other university offices. Students are encouraged to seek academic advising on an annual basis.
Freshmen and sophomores should contact the First and Second Year Advising.
In accordance with the University’s efforts to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), until further notice, academic advising though the Quinlan Undergraduate Programs office will be held via Zoom. You may schedule an appointment with your assigned advisor using the Navigate mobile app or desktop version, or by emailing our office at QuinlanUBUS@luc.edu. Prior to your appointment, your advisor will provide a link to access the Zoom meeting.
Express Advising for Fall Registration
We will hold Express Advising August 21-31 (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) to support Junior, Senior, and Transfer students experiencing any immediate registration issues regarding the Fall 2020 semester. Express Advising will be held virtually through Zoom between 9:00 and 3:30 pm CDT. To attend an Express Advising meeting, please visit email QuinlanUBUS@luc.edu to be placed in the Zoom waiting room when you are ready to speak to an advisor. Wait times will vary depending on the number of students in the queue at any given time. Express Advising will only be available during the stated hours.
Express Advising will be available only to discuss Fall registration issues. For other advising concerns or long-term planning, please schedule an appointment or email your academic advisor. First and Second Year students should see https://www.luc.edu/fsya/ for more information.
Changing Your Graduation Information (Dates, Major/Minor, Etc.)
Students who have applied for Fall 2020 graduation and who need to make any changes (e.g., change term, add/drop major or minor), or who have not yet applied for Fall graduation, should complete a new graduation application. Please email the completed form to QuinlanUBUS@luc.edu. Scans, screen shots, and photos of applications will all be accepted at this time; you will be contacted if there are any issues with your application form. Students must apply for Spring or Summer 2021 graduation by October 1, 2020 through LOCUS.
