Departmental Honors

The Quinlan School of Business offers departmental honors in the following departments. Students can also apply for the Quinlan School of Business Honors Program.

Students must apply to a department to be considered for departmental honors. Contact the chairperson of the specific department for more information.

Accounting

Students must be an accounting major with a GPA of at least 3.5 in all accounting courses. In addition, the student must complete two honors contracts* in accounting major courses. Accounting Departmental Honors Form

Economics

Student must be an economics major with a GPA of at least 3.5 in all economics courses and a 3.2 GPA overall. In addition, the student must complete two honors contracts* in elective courses in the economics major. Economics Departmental Honors Form

Finance

The Finance Honors Program challenges and showcases our best students. We are looking for intellectually curious and ambitious students who are willing and able to commit a good amount of time and passion to their studies. Students must be a Finance major with a grade of B or higher in all their Finance courses. Finance Honors Program

Information Systems

Student must be an information systems major with a GPA of at least 3.5 in all information systems courses. In addition, the student must complete a thesis contracted with a professor in the Information Systems and Supply Chain Management Department.

Marketing

Student must be a marketing major with a GPA in all marketing courses of at least 3.5 and an overall GPA of at least 3.2. In addition, the student must complete two honors contracts* in the marketing major. ‌Marketing Departmental Honors Form

Supply Chain Management

Student must be an supply chain management major with a GPA of at least 3.5 in all supply chain management courses. In addition, the student must complete a thesis contracted with a professor in the Information Systems and Supply Chain Management Department.

 

*Honors Contract

Agreement between the student and the instructor, subject to department chair approval, to perform a specified kind and quality of course-related work that all participants in the agreement regard as appropriate for honors credit.
