Past Tense

Curated by Betsy Odom
Sep - Oct 2019

Opening reception: Thursday, September 5, 5-7pm

Past Tense is an exhibition of artworks that directly relate to moments in art history. The artists in Past Tense show that art history is not simply a linear chronicle of historical events, but is a source of information to be manipulated and re-contextualized.  Works ranging from painting and photography to installation and fiber art contend with the traditions of art history in thoughtful and unexpected ways.
