Questions? Stop by or call our office in Simpson Hall.

Normally, all first and second-year students are required to live on campus per the Residency Requirement. Due to the pandemic, we have waived this for second year students for the 2021-2022 school year.

If you choose to live off campus, make sure you submit your off-campus address in LOCUS over the summer.

Normally when students apply for housing, they would submit a $500 Prepayment (or apply for a Prepayment waiver) at the same time as they submit their application. However, in an effort to make the application process more flexible during COVID we have waived the Prepayment for 2021-2022.

When submitting your application, you also agree to the terms of the Student Housing Agreement. The full contract can be reviewed within the application and is also available on our website. Included below is information to help you understand the terms of the contract.

This information is only intended as an overview; you are strongly encouraged to read the full contract before agreeing to the terms.

  • Continuing students not enrolled as full-time students on or before July 1, 2021 for fall semester, or December 31, 2020 for spring semester may have their Student Housing Agreement canceled and their space reassigned.
  • Except as otherwise provided by University policy, once the Student has checked in to his or her room, the Student is liable for the applicable room rate for the remainder of the academic year following check in, regardless of whether the Student remains in the residence halls for that period of time.
  • In the event the Student is removed from the residence halls for student conduct and/or disciplinary reasons, the Student will remain fully responsible for all room and board charges and fees for the remainder of the academic year following removal.
If you currently have a housing or meal plan accommodation on file with the Student Accessibility Center or would like to request an accommodation, please contact their office as soon as possible to ensure that your records and accommodation are up-to-date and on file prior to the Reapplication Process. Specific information regarding housing and meal plan accommodations is available here.

If you have specific questions regarding your accommodation or how it may affect your application/selection process, our Housing Assignments Coordinator for returning students would be happy to meet with you and answer your questions.

Please contact Shawna Jones to schedule an appointment.

Once you have signed the Housing Contract...
...you will not be released if you later decide to live off-campus.
...you will not be released if you are unhappy with your room assignment.
...you will not be released if you also sign a lease off-campus.

The complete terms of the Housing Contract are available on our website.
You should explore all of your housing options before making a final decision.
