Vacancy Lists for 23-24 Second-Year Room Selection
Given that we've had to remove the Vacancy Viewer from the residence life portal, these lists will give students a sense of availability each day of second-year Room Selection.
These lists are subject to change as rooms are selected. A new list will be posted the morning of each selection day, but will not be updated throughout the day.

Residence Life is offering three information sessions. We highly encourage you to attend an information session to ensure that you are aware of important dates and feel best informed throughout the process.
Information Sessions:
- Virtual Session - January 19, 6pm on Zoom Did you miss the information session? Watch it here!
- WTC Session - January 24, 6pm Corboy Law Center 206
- LSC Session - February 1, 6pm McCormick Lounge, Coffey Hall
Anyone who attends an upcoming Info Session will be subject to win a PRIORITY Lottery Number for Reapplication! There will be 5 awarded at each Info Session. You are welcome to attend more than one session, but your name will only be entered into the lottery number raffle once.
While we encourage you to attend one of the above information sessions, we recognize that your schedule may not allow for it. With that being the case, the recording of the virtual session can be found here. This will allow you to access the same information at any time throughout the Reapplication period.
We will also be hosting Extended Office Hours in the Residence Life office (Simpson 107) every Monday and Wednesday from 5-7pm throughout February, so you are welcome to stop by and ask any questions you may have.

We use a cohort model for our residences halls. This means that we offer three distinct and unique experiences to students living on-campus. First-year students live in traditional-style communities, second-year students live in specially selected communities with area desks, and junior and senior students live more independently in apartment-style communities.
Review the Residential Programming and Support Model Here
Visit this page to learn more about the Residential Programming and Support Model and which halls are used for first-year, second-year, and junior senior housing.
All First and Second-year students are required to live on campus per the Residency Requirement.
If you wish to request an exemption from the Residency Requirement, you will need to submit a Housing Exemption Form no later than noon on February 6, 2023 to receive a decision prior to February 14.
All housing applicants are required to submit a $500 Prepayment (or apply for a Prepayment waiver) at the same time as they submit their application. Prepayments will be due no later than February 14th at 12pm (noon); details on how to submit are outlined below in the "Application and Prepayment" FAQ section.
Prepayment Waiver Requests are due on February 8 at 12pm (noon), so that our office can make a decision prior to the February 14 Housing Application due date.
- Continuing students not enrolled as full-time students on or before July 1, 2022 for fall semester, or December 31, 2022 for spring semester may have their Student Housing Agreement canceled and their space reassigned.
- Except as otherwise provided by University policy, once the Student has checked in to his or her room, the Student is liable for the applicable room rate for the remainder of the academic year following check in, regardless of whether the Student remains in the residence halls for that period of time.
- In the event the Student is removed from the residence halls for student conduct and/or disciplinary reasons, the Student will remain fully responsible for all room and board charges and fees for the remainder of the academic year following removal.
