Spring 2021 Housing
On October 28, President Jo Ann Rooney sent a message regarding the format for the Spring 2021 semester. A copy of that communication is available here. We are excited that we will be able to welcome a limited number of students to live in on-campus housing.
All students wanting to live on campus for the Spring 2021 semester will need to complete a new housing application. The housing applications are available in the Residence life Portal in LOCUS. The new housing application contains a revised Spring 2021 Terms of Agreement that all students will need to read and electronically sign. Students can also provide new preferences for their room type. As we determined many spaces will not be used for Spring 2021, we will re-book students to only those rooms we are using on campus.
We reached out to all first year students who had an active housing contract on August 6 notifying them they were eligible for housing. The priority deadline for this first group of students was November 13. We have some available spaces after booking the first group of eligible applications, so we will continue to accept new applications for any student up to the start of the Spring 2021 semester. We encourage students who want to live in the residence halls to complete an application as soon as possible. We will assign these students on a rolling basis as spaces are or become available.
We understand that students’ personal situations may be significantly different now than when they completed their applications. Students may have opted to sign leases for the full academic year or they may prefer to continue their studies remotely. If your personal situation has changed or if you simply no longer wish to live on campus, you can cancel your on-campus booking for the spring semester without penalty.
