Return to Campus

As we prepare to return to campus for fall 2020, we will continue to be guided by the following principles:

  • The safety, health, and well-being of our community is our top priority; we will continue to follow guidance from the scientific community and city and state officials.

  • A commitment to providing a first-class education for our students that offers access to the same accomplished faculty, rigorous coursework, and thoughtful curriculum that are the hallmarks of a Loyola education.

  • The experience of a Jesuit, Catholic education that seeks to serve humanity through learning, justice, and faith.

All official decisions about the reopening of our campuses will be informed and aligned within the framework of Governor Pritzker's Restore Illinois plan and will be communicated to all students, faculty, and staff as they become available. Please check this website frequently for updates, information, and resources.

On Friday, June 26, the city of Chicago announced plans to move to phase four of “Protecting Chicago” reopening framework, alongside the state's Restore Illinois plan.

Phase four will allow Loyola to have a limited, staggered, and phased re-opening of our campuses later this summer in preparation for the fall semester. However, this does not mean all University personel can return at the same time.

Please do not plan to return to campus or buildings until you are directed to return by your Dean/VP, Department or Program Director, or Supervisor.
