Return to Campus Update: Wednesday, May 19
May 19, 2021
Dear Loyola Community,
Loyola University Chicago's weekly Return to Campus Update helps keep our community informed as we continue our phased reopening.
This week, learn about surveillance testing changes, how to upload your COVID-19 vaccination card, and Return to Campus website updates.

Return to Campus Website Updates
We are in the process of updating our Return to Campus website to reflect changes in public health guidance. In the meantime, we have introduced a new grid on the website that explain's Loyola's phased approach to reopening. Review our current plans here.

Upload Your Vaccination Card
Thank you to the more than 5,000 Ramblers who have already uploaded their COVID-19 vaccination cards! Here's how to do so if you have not already:
- Take a photo of your vaccination card on your mobile device.
- Open the Loyola mobile app and select the Loyola Health function. From there, you will see a login page. Log in using your UVID and password.
- After logging in, select “Upload Vaccination” on the top menu.
- Select the vaccine type (Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson), enter the date of your first and/or second doses, and upload your vaccination card.
- After entering all information, click “Submit” to save the vaccination card.
After you upload your card, you will be contacted if your upload was approved or not approved. If it is not approved, you will receive an email asking you to check for the most common errors and to upload your vaccination card again. If you have questions from there, we encourage you to reach out to COVID-19support@LUC.edu.
REMINDER: All Private Health Information at Loyola, including your vaccine records, is kept in strict confidence and protected by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant applications and storage. Learn more.

On-Campus Surveillance Testing
On Monday, we announced changes to Loyola's on-campus surveillance testing program:
- Beginning Sunday, May 23, Loyolans with uploaded and approved vaccinations will no longer be required to participate in surveillance testing. If you are vaccinated and have not already uploaded your vaccination card to the Loyola Health function of the Loyola mobile application, please do so as soon as possible.
- If you have not been fully vaccinated, have been granted a medical or religious exemption, or have not uploaded your vaccination card to Loyola Health by May 23, you will still be required to participate in surveillance testing. Our current compliance policy will continue to apply to those who are required to test.
- On Monday, May 24, Loyola will transition its SHIELD testing program from EPIC to Point and Click (PnC), a more sophisticated patient portal. Those still participating in SHIELD testing will need to create a new PnC account using the URL and Agency Code below:
Website: portal.shieldillinois.com
Student Agency Code: yy5790vw-stu
Faculty and Staff Agency Code: yy5790vw-emp
New summer testing hours will go into effect starting Monday, May 24.
In The News

Pritzker loosened mask requirements to follow the latest federal guidance.
