Born and raised in Rome where he studied classics in high school, Mario Cacciafeste graduated in Arts and Humanities, with a specialization in Cultural Anthropology at Sapienza University of Rome. Later, he earned the DILIT International House Diploma in teaching Italian as a Second Language.

For many years he worked as an educational trainer with refugees and migrants while assisting the Department of Immigration Services of Rome as a teacher of Italian language and coordinator of educational and vocational training courses. He was also a consultant for several companies, embassies, and associations in the field of education.

Because of his theoretical background and extensive experience in the field of cultural diversity and integration, he has acquired a unique proficiency as an Italian language teacher which has made him a valuable resource for American university programs in Rome.
