About

Nefeli Misuraca has a laurea in Contemporary Literature from Sapienza University of Rome and a PhD in Literature and Art from Yale University. She has taught anthropology of art, art history, cultural studies, and creative writing at several universities, starting from her teaching assistant years at Yale, and subsequently at Sapienza University of Rome, Cyprus University, Temple Rome, John Cabot University, and Loyola University Chicago’s John Felice Rome Center. She has designed and is currently teaching a course on the History of the Female in Art at Temple Rome and one on History of the Female in Literature at John Cabot University. She has worked as an editor and screenwriter for cinema and television and she writes about television and society in the Italian newspaper il manifesto. In 2018, La Vita Felice published La solitudine maestosa, her first book of poetry.
