Bellisario, Bruno

Title/s:  Adjunct Professor



Bruno Bellisario is assistant researcher in ecology at the Department of Ecological and Biological Sciences (University of Viterbo), where his research activity is addressed to the understanding of the complexity of life on earth and on the effect of natural and anthropogenic impacts on ecosystems.

He has been (and actually is) mentor of students in the field of ecology and environmental science, including PhDs and postdocs, being actively involved in different research activities with national (Anton Dohrn Zoological Station, Naples, Italy) and foreign Institutions (Centre of Molecular and Environmental Biology, University of Braga, Portugal). In 2018 he was awarded with the Seal of Excellence under the Horizon 2020’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions for the high-quality of his research.

He authored more than 30 scientific publications, mostly in top peer-reviewed journals, serving as Academic Editor for the journal PlosONE and as referee for some of the most important journals in ecology. More info at https://brunobellisario.github.io
