Loyola University Chicago Student Summer 2015, Fall 2015, or Full-Year 2015-2016
The John Felice Rome Center welcomes applications from qualified students at Loyola University Chicago approximately eight months ahead of a term's start date. Please bear in mind that applicants will be wait-listed for space when demand for a certain term exceeds the spots available for that semester. We recommend that students apply early!
|Term||Opening Date for OnLine Applications||Closing Date for OnLine Applications|
|Fall 2016 / AY 2016-2017||December 15, 2015||April 1, 2016 or earlier if program fills|
The following requirements must be met before an application will be reviewed:
- At least 12 semester hours of credit earned at LUC
- Attainment of at least a 2.75 cumulative grade point average
- In good academic and disciplinary standing*
- In possession of a valid passport
* continuing in good academic & disciplinary standing after admission is mandatory for being eligible to study at the JFRC.
A photocopy of a valid passport must be uploaded at the time of application.
Program Application: All applications for the JFRC must be submitted on-line. Instructions are given at the beginning of the on-line application form.
Passport: Upload a scanned copy of the basic information page of your valid passport. "Valid" for the Department of Homeland Security and consequently for all international airlines is a passport with an expiration date at least six months after the end date of your international travel. Be sure your current passport is "valid." If you need to renew your passport, you may upload a copy of the passport renewal receipt in order to learn a decision about admission. Once you have been accepted, you must still upload a copy of your renewed passport after you have received it.
Academic Advisor's Recommendation: Once you have submitted your on-line application, an e-mail will automatically be sent to your academic advisor requesting a recommendation. He or she will send the recommendation back via e-mail to the Rome Center's Chicago Office.
Judicial Life Recommendation: By checking the appropriate box on the on-line application and signing the form, a LUC student authorizes the Office of Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution to relay to the Rome Center Office an applicant's current judicial status as well as his / her history.
Official Transcript: Loyola students need not provide a Loyola University Chicago transcript as the Rome Center staff can view this on LOCUS.
Completed applications are reviewed by date and time of their submission on-line. Notification about admission or denial is sent to applicants via e-mail.
While the Rome Center operates on a "rolling admission" cycle, the JFRC fills quickly. Consequently, students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Application deadlines are invalid if the JFRC is at capacity.
