Meet our Commuter Ambassadors
The commuter ambassadors are made up of a four person team. This paid leadership position is an opportunity for commuter students to be a peer mentor and leader to other commuter students on campus. Commuter ambassadors hold office hours, construct and host various programming opportunities and participate in major office events (i.e. Commutercon). All Commuter Ambassadors undergo a training in the Fall and Spring semesters that is mandatory in order to hold the position.

Hi, my name is Matthew and I am a sophomore nursing major. My pronouns are He/Him/His and I come from Filipino and Chinese descent. I live in Morton Grove and my typical commute to campus takes about 20-35 min by car or train. When I am not studying or working I enjoy playing basketball, exercising, listening to Kpop, and watching anime. At first, I might seem really quiet and serious. However, once you get to know me, I’m very spontaneous and quirky. I’m very open minded and I love learning and discovering new things. I am down to talk about anything with anyone and I love helping people in whatever way I can.
Hello! My name is Marissa Arreola and I am a third year student here at Loyola. I am a double major in Cognitive Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology. I am also pursuing a minor in Sociology with a health concentration. I am also an ACE scholar and am always advocating for our first-gen students of color on campus. In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga and mindfulness. I currently reside in Bolingbrook, IL (think IKEA). This is my first year working as a Commuter Ambassador and I hope you find this community as warm and welcoming as I have.
I am a junior nursing student and have been a Commuter Ambassador for a year now. I love interacting with students and building community within CSL. I look forward to expanding our community and meeting new commuter students this year!
