Sorority & Fraternity Life
Fraternities and sororities have been a part of Loyola University Chicago since 1924 and have played an important role in the lives of our students and alumni since then. They contribute much to the campus community through their involvement in other student organizations, educational programs, service and philanthropy projects, and social activities. The fraternity and sorority community at Loyola provides a home away from home for students during their collegiate years and beyond.
The Loyola sorority and fraternity community consists of three governing councils: the Interfraternity Council, the Multicultural Greek Council, and the Panhellenic Council. These three governing councils provide structure for the 17 chapters, and the overall direction of the community is guided by the professional staff in the Department of Student Activities & Greek Affairs.
The Sorority and Fraternity Life staff provides guidance and support to the 17 international sororities and fraternities and the three governing councils at Loyola University Chicago.
