Student Organization Awards

The Student Organization Awards (SOAs) recognizes LUC's Registered Student Organizations for the many successful programs and achievements of the past year.

All nomination forms can be found on LUCommunity within the Student Activities & Greek Affairs portal. 

 

The Student Organization Awards take place at the end of every spring semester.  


Type of Award Details
Overall Awards

These awards are the highest honor at the Student Organization awards. The awards recognize the remarkable accomplishments from a student organization through service to others, membership, activities, and programs. 

The awards in this category include:

  • Organization of the Year
  • Outstanding Program of the Year

 

Organization Category Awards

This awards recognize the achievements of a student organization within a specific category, based on registration. Organizations are asked to demonstrate what makes their group stand out amongst their peers. 

The awards in this category include:

  • Academic/Honorary 
  • Cultural/Ethnic
  • Hobby/Special Interest
  • Media
  • Political/Social Issues
  • Service/Spiritual 
  • Student Sponsored Organization
Individual/Group Awards

These awards recognize the achievements of individuals or a group of students from the student organization community. Individuals may self nominate for this award. 
Recipients are able to showcase how they have gone above and beyond for their organization and the Loyola community. 

The awards in this category include:

  • Outstanding Advisor
  • Outstanding Officer of the Year
  • Spirit of Loyola 
  • Outstanding Executive Board
